Beyond glory ( The Big Red One ) is a American film left in 1980.

Synopsis

November 1918, in a battle field, the Possum sergeant looks at the corpses of American soldiers and German. Hearing a German shout and not including/understanding only he says, the sergeant kills it. Some time after an American captain announces to him that the war is finished and that the German announced it.

November 1942, the Possum sergeant is with the head of a section of fusillers in the the 1st division of American infantry, Big Red One. Among the young recruits which make their baptism of fire, are Zab, Vinci, Johnson and Griff.
