Beyond
` Au-Delà , also called L ` Another World is the generic term indicating the world Surnaturel in which the Mythe S are located, and/or in which the Croyance S related to the Religion S locate the places where the heart S go after the Mort. One differently names it in each civilization, for example Empyrée in the Greek Mythologie, or Omeyocan at the Aztèque S.
General information
The beyond is the term indicating a Concept present in almost all the Religion S in the form of a whole of Croyance S. Those describe L `beyond as a more or less complex world to which we do not have access in the capacity as Mortel, and also satisfying a combination of two principal features:- it would be held in this world of the events of which we would feel the consequences;
- we could have access to this world after death, by the permanence of our heart.
It is possible to consider L `beyond independently of the concept of heart, by-against the concept of heart requires to be associated with the concept D `beyond, medium where it exists.
L `beyond can be simply an inaccessible world by the material beings but nevertheless to be located here and now .
L `beyond can be also the framework in which are held many myths relating to the creation of the universe that we live; in this case it is external for him in the Temps and the space.
Among the mortals, individuals claim to have a communication with L `beyond: they are named medium S or Shaman S.
It is frequent that it is associated with this world Surnaturel a whole of conditions governing the access that the hearts of the mortals have some after their death. The fate of those is then determined by a supreme being (for example a God) during a judgment. Under these conditions, the behavior of the mortals determines what it will occur their hearts. There exist also beliefs connecting the actions of the mortals to phenomena being held in our world consequently those: a catastrophe is then seen like an anger or a punishment inflicted with human by beings occupying L `beyond. This mechanism is the vector of the Superstition. The Incantation S, the Offering S, the Sacrifice S and the Prière S are the means used in order to influence the decisions taken by these imaginary beings.
The belief in L `beyond can however be observed independently of any religion, for example in the cases of Expérience of imminent death, that certain witnesses name experiment of life after death and locate in a another world .
First demonstrations
One can consider that oldest burial S prehistoric found (towards - 100.000 years) at that time constitutes a good indication of the existence of this concept. Traces of funeral rituals observed as of - 300.000 years can also be an index about it, but these practices could be explained simply by an honor returned to the life of the late one. L `beyond would have appeared thus in the companies néandertaliennes and the first companies of the modern man. But it is with the Paléolithique superior that the strongest indices concerning the concepts D `appear beyond, but also D ` heart , with the offerings found in the burials of this time.
In antiquity
- the Other World , in the Celtic civilization, indicated in Gaelic by the word Sidh, is the place or remain the gods. The human ones do not have access in theory there. In the Celtic Mythology, it acts of a parallel world where certain heroes are sometimes invited by a Bansidh, following the example Conle or Bran Mac Febail.
- For the Daces, Zalmoxis accommodated deaths.
In the great monotheisms
The guiding line governing L `Au-delà in large the Monothéisme S is primarily based on the dichotomy defining a world of good being, the Paradis, and a world of sufferings, the Enfer. Between this two worlds it-there-have, according to the catholic tradiction, the Purgatory, but the belief in this intermediate world is not a dogma of faith.
