Beverly Crusher

Beverly Crusher is a character of the universe of fiction of Star Trek , and more particularly of the series Star Trek: The new generation , interpreted by the actress Spoil McFadden. One also finds it in the films Générations , First Contact , Insurrection and Nemesis .

Biography

Beverly Cheryl Crusher (born Howard) is a Humain E come in the world on the the Moon, in Copernicus City, into 2324. It is the girl of Paul and Isabel Howard who die whereas it is still child. After their disappearance, the young girl is collected on Arvada II by Felissa Howard, her paternal grandmother. In 2366, the mother of the young person Wesley Crusher (who for its part remained on board the Enterprise ) chooses however to give up her bureaucratic responsibilities and finds her old station within the crew ordered by Jean-Luc Picard. She illustrates herself there during the six years which follow by its professional capacities and its undeniable human qualities, last once put at the service of the occupants of the Enterprise D when the saucer of the vessel is crushed on the surface of the planet Véridian III into 2371.

Beverly Crusher becomes very logically medical officer as a chief of the new whole Enterprise-E . In 2373, she in particular manages to evacuate the infirmary of this vessel in front of the projection of the Borgs which were introduced there.

She always works on board same building when this one goes on the planet Ba' ku into 2375 in order to find there Data (which seems not to have revealed without reason the presence of the observers of Starfleet installed on the spot). Following the example other senior officers of the ship, Doctor Crusher takes the party of the Picard captain then against the admiral Dougherty and invests himself completely in the rescue of the people Ba' ku, wrongfully threatened of deportation by the Son' has which wish to adapt the source of an eternal youth of which they are passionately jealous.

In 2379, it attends the marriage of her friends William T. Riker and Deanna Troi, takes part in the confrontation between Picard and Shinzon and remains faithful to the Enterprise at the end of this mission.

On the personal level, neither the brilliant career nor the widowhood of Beverly Crusher prohibit to him to test feelings towards some of the men who surround it. In 2366, it is thus strongly attracted by the Zalconien which it called “John Doe” but sees this relation stopped by the evolution of sound protected towards another form of life. The following year, it éprend of the ambassador Odan, a Trill travelling on board the Enterprise in the capacity as negotiator, but its feelings do not survive the change of host of the symbion hitherto carried by the diplomat. Indeed, Odan is then accommodated by a female host, after having forwarded by the body of William Riker. In 2370, inevitably allured by “Ronin” (the anaphasic entity which haunts the women of its family since many generations) on Caldos II, Beverly finally manages to be torn off with the influence of its tempter whom it eliminates at once. In addition to these various connections, Doctor Crusher tests finally an immense tenderness towards Jean-Luc Picard (and goes until becoming its wife before the couple does not divorce in the possible future suggested with the captain the Enterprise-D by Q at the stellar date 47988.0).
