Beverley McLachlin
The Very honourable Beverley McLachlin C.P., B.A., M.A., LL.B , is current the judge as a chief with the Supreme court of Canada. Parallel to its load of Judge as a chief it is also President of the Canadian Council of the magistrature, president of the Advisory counsel of the Ordre of Canada, president of the Board of directors of the National institute of the magistrature. It also forms part of the Conseil of the Queen for Canada
Madam the Judge as a Chief was born the September 7th 1943 with Pincher Creek in Alberta. She obtained Université of Alberta a Baccalauréat are art, a Maitrise in philosophy and she was also Bachelière in right and Major of his promotion.
Après its studies it practiced the right of 1969 to 1975 and was of 1974 to 1981 part-time lecturer like professeure for the Université of the Colombia-British.
Its rise at the most legal station of the country was made on January 7th, 2000. It has to occupy various posts before obtaining this prestigious station. Its career as judges has to begin in 1981 with the Course the county Vancouver, then it was named judge of the Supreme court of the Colombia-British on September 8th, 1981, then at the Court of Appeal of the Colombia-British on December 5th, 1985, thereafter it is named with the high position of the province of the Colombia-British is: Judge as a chief of the Supreme court on September 7th, 1988 for finally being named with the highest magistrature of the country, the Supreme court of Canada on March 30th, 1989.
