Between-two-Water

Between-two-Water is a common French, located in the department of the the Vosges and the area Lorraine.

Geography

Located on a hill, the commune owes its name with the absence of notable brook crossing it. It dominates in the west the valley of the Meurthe and in north that of the Fave.

The average altitude of the village, where besides the church and its cemetery are, is 420 Mr. to note two offset hamlets, Remémont in north and Fouchifol in the east.

One can go to the village in two ways: by Remomeix/Holy-Marguerite and also by Saulcy-on-Meurthe/Mandray whose road is called locally, in Vosgean patois, the " Mataguette".

The economy and the activity of the village are based on the exploitation of forest, the mixed-farming, the breeding of bovines and the dairy products.

The life of the commune is rythmée by its various associations and their demonstrations:

the Friendly Layman: contest of belote, ball of the Witches, flea market, popular market, the Saint Nicolas's Day.
the Shooting: to dine dancing, contest of game of bowls.
the Friendly one of the Firemen: to dine dancing.
