Betty and Barney Hill

Personality of the Hill couple

Betty was born in 1920 and Barney in 1922. The same sound repeats second once and Hill discover that they have just traversed more than 55 km without them having the least memory of it. Moreover, their two watches are stopped.

When they arrive at their residence, they understand that they have two hours of delay on their schedule and any memory which can correspond to this period of their way. Moreover, Barney discovers many scratches on the leather of its shoes, as if one had trailed it on the ground, and feels a sharp back pain. Lastly, he discovers that in several places the painting of the body of their car disappeared, leaving metal to naked.

Starting from the September 30th, Betty starts to make many nightmares where she sees herself continued by “deformed faces with large cats eyes”. It develops also various symptoms dépressifs : melancholy, loss of appetite and distress. In spring 1962, after several treatments without result, their family practitioner directs them towards a Psychiatre of the academy of Exeter which will end up diagnosing a post-traumatic stress on Barney and Betty. Skeptic of the case approaches
