Betty Curtis

Betty Curtis (of its true name Roberta Corti) born the March 21st 1936 with Milan (Lombardy), deceased the June 15th 2006 with Lecco (Lombardy), had represented the Italy with the Concours Eurovision of the Song 1961, with Cannes, with the song Al di there , finishing 5th ex-aequo with the Denmark, on 16 candidates, after having gained the Festival of Sanremo.

If Betty recorded its song only in Italian, it was taken again by about fifty interpreters since his creation, in particular Camillo Felgen (in French), Claudio Villa (in Italian), Connie Francis (in German and Italian), Dean Martin (in Italian), Emilio Pericoli (in Italian), Margot Eskens (in German), Laila Kinnunen (in Finnish), Sandra Reemer (in Dutch) and Willy Alberti (in Dutch); but was also taken again in Italian, Spanish, Hungarian, English…

It is deceased with Lecco (in Lombardy) of a long illness.
