A core beta-lactam is a heteroatomic cyclic structure, consistent in three atoms of Carbone and one of Azote. The cycle beta-lactam belongs to various Antibiotique S, the such Pénicilline. These antibiotics are called for that antibiotic beta-lactam antibiotic . These antibiotics act by inhibition of the synthesis of the cellular wall of the bacterium. This has a lethal effect on the Bactérie S, in particular those which are Gram-positive. The bacteria can become resistant to the antibiotics beta-lactam by the expression of a Beta-lactamase.
