Bescat is located on the southern side of a Moraine at the entry of the Vallée of Ossau.

History
Paul Raymond note which the commune counted a laic abbey, vassal of the Viscount of Béarn.In 1385, Bescat counted 14 fires and depended on the Bailliage of Ossau.
