Bert Jansch

Herbert Jansch more known under the name of Bert Jansch (born the November 3rd 1943 with Glasgow) is a Scottish musician of Musique folk. With John Renbourn, it founded the group Pentangle in 1967. In the Years 1960, it was strongly influenced by the guitarist Davey Graham and the singers or singers folk like Anne Briggs. Jansch is a famous acoustic guitarist but he is also singer and type-setter.

He recorded 25 albums and made rounds since the years 1960. Its work influenced artists like Johnny Marr, Bernard Butler, Jimmy Page (with White summer ), Ian Anderson, Nick Drake, Donovan and Neil Young. Jansch was seen decreeing the Lifetime Achievement Award in 2001 at the time of the Folk Awards of the radio operator BBC 2.
