Berriane

Berriane (Bergan) is common of Algérie, located at the extreme north of the Wilaya of Ghardaïa, in the the septentrional Sahara, to 554 km in the south of Algiers. It is crossed by a vital economic artery which is the trunk road number 1. In addition to its regional importance, the commune of Berriane occupies a strategic position which connects the cities of the south to those of north. The commune of Berriane, which occupies a surface of 2.250 km ², is limited:

  • in north by the communes of Hassi Delâa and Hassi R' Mel (wilaya of Laghouat)
  • in the south by the communes of Bounoura, Ghardaïa and Daya (wilaya of Ghardaïa)
  • in the east by the commune of Guerrara (wilaya of Ghardaïa)
  • in the west by the commune of Hassi R' Mel (wilaya of Laghouat).
