Bernhard Henrik Crusell
Bernhard Henrik Crusell , born with Nystad, today Uusikaupunki, the October 15th 1775 and died in Stockholm the July 28th 1838, is a Clarinettiste and type-setter Finnish. It composed of many parts of which majority for its instrument.
Biography
Born in 1775, it joined the regiment of infantry of Nyland in 1788. In 1791, he becomes musician at the court of Stockholm and takes part in the orchestra of the court until in 1833.Its principal Masters are the Berliner clarinettist Franz Tausch, and, for the musical theory and the composition, Daniel Britz and Abbe Vogler. At the end of the Years 1790, it is a success growing in the concertos for Clarinette of Winter, Lebrun, Beethoven and Mozart, before composing his own pieces.
One of its most known works remains its opera Den lilla slafvinnan , represented thirty-four time between 1824 and 1838, date of its death. He is also the author of many concertos and duets for clarinets, as well as Symphonia concertante, of a Divertimento for String quartet and Hautbois, of a trio for clarinet, horn and Basson entitled Potpourri .
