Bernese Oberland

The Bernese Oberland is the highest area of the Canton of Bern, located at the south of the canton and which includes/understands the zones of the Lac of Thoune and of the Lac of Brienz as well as the the Bernese Alps.

The following districts are regarded as belonging to Oberland:

• the District of Thoune

• the District of Interlaken
• the District of Oberhasli
• the District of Frutigen
• the District of Obersimmental
• the District of Niedersimmental
• the District of Saanen
