Bernardo Storace
Bernardo Storace (~1637 - ~1707) is a Italian Compositeur which wrote parts for Orgue and for Clavecin.
The only details of its life which are known for us are those appearing in edition 1664 of its work, Selva di varies compositioni will intavolatura per cimbalo and organo , in which the type-setter is described like “under-Master of Vault with Messine, in Sicily.”.
This collection of works is composed of a series of variations on famous dances of the time, among which one counts the “Passagagli” (a Spanish form of dance which probably occurred at the end of the 16th century); those constitute one of the first appearances of the term “pastoral” in the purely instrumental field.
