Bernardo Gaviño
Bernardo Gaviño Rueda , born with Puerto Real (Spain, Province of Cadiz) the August 20th 1812, died with Mexico City (Mexico) the February 11th 1886, was a Spanish Matador.
Presentation
Bernardo Gaviño receives its first lessons of Juan León “Leoncillo”, of which he is distant relative. It continues like Banderillero in the Cuadrilla of Bartolomé Ximénez Acosta. In 1835, Gaviño goes in Latin America, in particular in Uruguay and with Cuba, then in Mexico where it is fixed definitively and where it becomes one of the principal matadors of the country.The January 31st 1886 (At 74 years, it torée still occasionally!) in the arenas of Texcoco (Mexico), it is seriously wounded by a bull of the Ganadería Ayala. He dies in Mexico City on February 11th, 1886.
