Bernard Tissot
Bernard Tissot (1902 - 1968) is a Politician French, mayor of Rouen of May 6th 1958 at April 3rd 1968.
After studies at the institution Join-Lambert (Rouen), makes its studies of right and is graduate higher learning of right (right to Paris). Once bachelor of law, private school of political sciences; it is established Avoué in 1928.
It enters to the municipal council of Rouen on May 13rd 1945 on the list of Jacques Chastellain and became of continuation associated to the fine arts. It is with him that one owes in particular the restoration of the room Holy-Cross of the Furriers and the creation of the conservatory of Rouen and its temporary installation in the Faucon hotel. Also thanks to him, Rouen obtained a modern Bibliothèque. It succeeded as mayor Jacques Chastellain. He was elected 3 times mayor of Rouen: May 6th, 1958, March 20th, 1959 and March 25th, 1965.
He is named knight of the Légion of honor on June 20th, 1952 then Officer of the Legion of Honor on March 19th, 1962.
