Bernard Simonay
Bernard Simonay (Paris, 02/08/1951 -) is a writer French.
He was born in Paris on August 2nd, 1951. Very early, its ballades in the surrounding forest and its readings give him desire for exerting an artistic career. Robert Blackbird and especially Rene Barjavel are the writers who influenced it the most. After having considered the cinema as a author-realizer, it launches out in the drafting of fantastic stories without accepting the publication. It enters in faculty of maths and physics and qualifies itself its first tests and essays of not very brilliant.
It Marie, finds a work and continuous to write some novels " perfectly impubliables" , until the day when it starts to work on what was going to become the first novel of the cycle of Phoenix. The drafting of Phoenix will last 5 years, then it presents its manuscript of 900 pages to the French editors, while essuyant of many refusal, the editors not believing in a novel of French fantasy. In 1984, the editions of the rock agree to publish Phoenix and the success of this novel will be worth with its author the prices cosmos 2000 and Julia Verlanger in 1987.
