Bernard Lubat
Bernard Lubat is musician of Jazz born on May 12th, 1945 with Uzeste, small commune of the Bazadais.
Biography
He studies with the Conservatoire of Bordeaux, then with Paris. Engaged by the orchestra of Jef Gilson, it accompanies by the high-speed motorboats of variety. He plays and works with Jean-Luc Ponty, Michel Portal, Martial Solal, Eddy Louis, and also Stan Getz. He also sang in the group the Double-Six, like Eddy Louis besides. He also plays of the Modern music, Varèse, Xenakis, Berio. He takes an active part in the experiment of the Free-jazz. He is an multi-instrumentalist of talent able to play in all the conceivable contexts, of the popular ball to the studio (he is defined itself as a “impolite fellow-instrumentalist”). He exerts his talents mainly on the battery and the Piano but also with the Accordéon, with the Vibraphone, the percussions and the song (it is frightening a Scat or). He accompanied Claude Nougaro a long time then founded the Festival of Uzeste in 1977, and the company Lubat, which will be an orchestra of reception of many musicians (André Minvielle).In 2006, it was named Necessary Commandeur of the Ordre of Large Gidouille.
