Bernard Lortie
Bernard Lortie (born in 1951) was member of the terrorist movement Front of release of Quebec. It met Paul and Jacques Rose, like Francis Simard, at the House of the Fisherman, Percé, in July 1969. It belonged to the Cellule of financing Chénier which removed and assassinated the minister Pierre Laporte.
November 6th, 1970, Bernard Lortie was stopped at the time of a police descent at the place where the fugitive members of the Chénier cell were hidden. The three remaining members escaped towards St-Luc, where they were stopped on December 28th.
For his participation in the removal of Pierre Laporte, Bernard Lortie was condemned to 20 years of prison. He was released under conditions after seven years.
In 2006, its role is interpreted by Eric Paulhus in the series October 1970 .
