Bernard Lietaer

Bernard A. Lietaer , born in 1942, is a Belgian economist.

Professor of university, former senior official of the Central bank of Belgium, member of the Club of Rome, he is specialist in the international monetary questions. He is one of the most known defenders of the alternative currencies (interdependent economies, systems of local exchanges). It is persuaded that they will take an increasingly important place compared to the great official currencies.
