Bernard Latarjet

Bernard Latarget , born on August 27th 1941, is a French cultural administrator.

Agricultural engineer, engineer general of the agricultural engineering, water and the forests and graduate of the Research center of town planning, it enters to the ministry for Agriculture in 1968. In 1976, it integrates DATAR, in particular as interdepartmental general secretary of the Funds of development and rural development (FIDAR).

In 1984, it is named acting general of the French Cinémathèque until 1987, then takes the head of the Fondation of France of 1989 to 1991. Member of the cabinet of Jack Lang between 1991 and 1992, then adviser technical in charge with the Culture and great work to the general secretary of the Elysium of 1992 to 1995, it takes the direction of the public corporation of the Parc and of the Grande market of the Villette in February 1996 to leave it later 10 years, waits by the age limit.

Bernard Latarjet is also President of the BiFi and the 3Ecole Nationale Sup3erieure of the landscape of Versailles, and administrator of Radio France.

In 2007 he is director of the candidature of Marseilles like European Capitale of the culture.

Two reports submitted to the government bears its name:

  • the Latarjet report/ratio of 1992, on the cultural installation of the territory
  • the Latarjet report/ratio of 2004, for a national debate on the future of the live performance
