Bernard Frénicle de Bessy
Bernard Frénicle de Bessy , born with Paris in the first decade of the 17th century, is a Mathématicien French.
Near to Mersenne Sailor, it took part in several scientific circles and was named member geometrician of the royal Académie of sciences to its creation in 1666. It was interested in astronomy and mechanics, but it is especially known for its work on the Théorie of the numbers and the Combinatoire. The standard Form of Frénicle, a standard representation of the magic square , is named in its honor. He also discovered the numbers taxicabs and he described all the magic squares primarily different of order 4; its process of construction and the magic squares obtained were published in posthumous title in 1693.
