Bernard Donald McDonald

Bernard Donald McDonald (1797-1859) was the second bishop of Charlottetown

Born on December 25th, 1797, in Saint-Andrew, island of the Prince-Edouard, he is the son of Angus McDonald and Pénélope McDonald. Ordered on June 1st, 1822, it was cleaned of Saint-Andrew, island of the Prince-Edouard; in 1829, it occupied the cure of Charlottetown and Eustico.

In 1836, he became the administrator of the diocese of Charlottetown. Named on February 21st, 1837, bishop of Charlotte-town by the pope Gregoire XVI, and devoted on October 15th in the Saint-Patrice church of Quebec, by Mgr Signay, assisted messeigneurs Turgeon and Le Bourget.

It is deceased on December 30th, 1859, at the 62 years age.
