Bernard Debré

Bernard Debré , born the September 30th 1944 with Toulouse (Haute-Garonne), is an urologist and Politician French.

He is re-elected appointed UMP the June 10th 2007, in the Fifteenth district of Paris, left northern the 16th district.

Biography

He is the son of Michel Debré, brother (false-twin) of Jean-Louis Debré and the grandson of the famous pediatrist Robert Debré. ( On this family, to see Family Debré ) and of the architect Charles Lemaresquier

  • Chief of the service of urology to the Hospital Cochin (1990), Member of the French company of surgery, of the French companies, European and international of urology. It is in its service that was operated the Prostate of the president François Mitterrand.

  • Former member of the General advice of Indre-et-Loire and vice-president of the General advice of Indre-et-Loire (1992 - 1994), City council man (1989-92) and Mayor of Amboise (1992-2001).

  • Minister for the Co-operation of the Government Edouard Balladur (from December 12th, 1994 to May 18th, 1995). With the presidential election of 1995, it rejoins the camp of the Prime Minister.

  • 2004-... Deputy of the 15th district of Paris following its candidature for the partial legislative election of the June 20th and 27th 2004 in this 15th district of Paris (northern of the 16th district). Candidate without label supported by the outgoing deputy Gilbert Gantier, it thus obtained nearly 59% of the votes, against 20% with his unhappy adversary, the UMP Laurent Dominati, indicated without vote and the agreement of Nicolas Sarkozy, and which misses its parachuting in the Parisian west after its failure in 2002 in the center by Paris, old ground of election of his/her father Jacques Dominati, where it is not re-elected.

Once elected, it is registered with the group UDF with the National Assembly as connected, then changes camp, while passing to UMP, always like related. In 2007, following its re-election, it adheres fully to the UMP group.

  • He is member of the committee of honor of the Mouvement Initiative and Freedom.

  • It intervenes from time to time in the emission the large mouths on RMC and is regularly invited at Franz-Olivier Giesbert on France 3, in its cultural emission Culture and dependences.

  • It announced that he was candidate with the town hall of Paris in 2008.

Although it wishes for this purpose not having to subject to the system primary educations in UMP for the local elections, it announced in December 2005 that it wished to join UMP, to which it is related with the National Assembly.

In 2005, it created association “For Paris”, so according to him making it possible the whole of Parisian opposite with the policy of Bertrand Delanoë to be expressed and prepare Paris of the future. In 2006, it set up a committee by district, with an aim of being closest to the concerns of the Parisian ones.

The day before the municipal elections, it always disputes the leadership of the opposition to Francoise de Panafieu, just like the deputy Pierre Lellouche, who had arrived to him penultimate at the primary educations of UMP. However, Bernard Debré would be prompt to negotiate to leave the place to the deputy-mayor of 17th, in exchange of a parachuting.
