Bernard Cazeneuve
Bernard Cazeneuve , born the June 2nd 1963 with Senlis, is a man Politique French, member of the Socialist party. He is deputy and mayor of Cherbourg-Octeville.
Biography
After studies with Institute of political studies of Bordeaux, he becomes member of the Socialist party. He starts a career of lawyer to the Banque Populaire, before integrating the ministerial cabinets. He thus becomes adviser technical with the cabinet of Thierry de Beaucé, Secretary of State in charge of the international Cultural relations in 1991, then principal private secretary of Alain Vivien, Secretary of State in charge of the Foreign affairs, in 1992, and of Charles Josselin, Secretary of State to the Sea, in 1993. On this date, it is named general secretary of the Superior council of the pleasure sailing and the water sports.In 1994, it is parachuted on the canton of Octeville of which he becomes general adviser. In 1995, it settles with the town hall of Octeville then becomes appointed 5th district of the Manche in 1997. After having conducted campaign for Large Cherbourg (fusion of the communes of the agglomeration cherbourgeoise), it becomes in 2001 the mayor of the new unified commune, following Jean-Pierre Godefroy, beating the candidate UMP Jean Lemière. It loses on the other hand its mandate of deputy against this last with legislative of 2002.
In 2004, it takes the chief candidate manchoise of the regional election in Basse-Normandie, and becomes, with the victory of Philippe Duron, first vice-president of the District council.
It continues in parallel a legal career, named regular judge with the High Court of justice and the Court of justice of the Republic of June 25th 1997 at June 18th, 2002, then registered as lawyer with the bar of Cherbourg-Octeville in 2003. In 2006, it joined the team “Public, regulatory and competes with” cabinet of Parisian right of the businesses August & Debouzy, in the capacity as non-aligned lawyer.
In 2007, after the presidential election lost by the socialist candidate, it is represented with the legislative elections, where it finds its seat vis-a-vis the outgoing candidate UMP Jean Lemière with a score of 58,96%.
