Bernard Cathelin

Bernard Cathelin , French painter, born the May 20th 1919 with Paris, deceased the April 17th 2004 in Paris. Its family is originating in the Drome and it was very attached to this department throughout its life. It is buried with Montéléger.

Biography

After traditional studies with the colleges Carnot and Janson-with-Sailly with Paris, then with the college Emile-Loubet with Valence, he is pupil of 1945 with 1948 with the 3Ecole Nationale Sup3erieure of decorative Arts with Paris.
He made known himself by many exposures in France, in Suisse, with the the United States, the Canada, in Germany, China. Its painting is particularly appreciated with the Japan.
It is decorated with the Légion of honor by François Mitterrand, president of the Republic, in January 1995.
