Bernard Accoyer
Bernard Accoyer is a man Politique French, born Bernard Marie Paul Accoyer the August 12th 1945 with Lyon (the Rhone).
It is the president of the National Assembly since the June 26th 2007.
Biography
Otorhinolaryngologiste doctor of profession, married to Charlotte Marie Jacquier since the January 23rd 1971 and father of three children, it enters the political life in 1989.With the National Assembly, it is particularly illustrated in the fight against the installation the 35 hours, under the legislature Socialist 1997-2002. He also worked assiduously to conclude the difficult reform of the retirements at the summer 2003, denouncing " attitudes of obstruction caricaturales".
With the National Assembly, he is Member of the Commission of the cultural, family and social affairs. Of 2004 with 2007, he is president of the group UMP of the Parliament, thus succeeding Jacques Barrot, after of having been the first vice-president of 2002 to 2004. This parliamentary group that Bernard Accoyer chairs in this XIIe legislature of the National Assembly gathers more than 360 deputies.
In 2006, it illustrates in the resolution of the crisis of CPE (Contract First Engages). President Chirac calls upon his qualities and charges it with writing a legislative proposal to reform the CPE. It then sets up a group of deputies with whom it will receive the trade union officials in order to conclude this mission.
The June 10th 2007, Bernard Accoyer is re-elected appointed first district of Haute-Savoie as of the first turn of the legislative elections, with more than 56% of the votes cast. Its substitute is François Carbonnel.
The June 18th 2007, Bernard Accoyer publicly announces his candidature for the election of the president of the National Assembly for XIIIe legislature. To occupy this station it has the support of the president of the Republic Nicolas Sarkozy and the Prime Minister Francois Fillon. Its principal competitor was Patrick Ollier, which took over temporarily the duties after the nomination of Jean-Louis Debré the presidency of the Constitutional council. Its work appreciated with the head of the UMP group was a major asset for Bernard Accoyer in his election to become the fourth character of the State.
June 26th, 2007, he is elected in the majority chair of the National Assembly (314 votes out of 563). He is Member of the Commission of the cultural affairs of the National Assembly.

Its parliamentary work
In 2003, his amendment regulating the profession of Psychothérapeute, approved by the National Assembly, caused a controversy to which took share of the psychoanalysts of reputation, in particular Jacques-Alain Miller. The final text, was written by a Joint industrial commission and was published in 2004 with the Official journal. However the decrees on enforcement of a law were not published yet, therefore the law is inapplicable.
