Bermude II of León

Bermude II of Leon is king of the Royaume of Leon, the Asturies and Galicia of 982 with 999. He is the son of Ordoño III of León and Aragont Dealez.
He marries initially Velasquita, girl of Urraque and Ordoño IV the Bad, king de Léon, which he divorced in 988. It Marie in second weddings with Elvire († 1017), girl of the count García I {{er}} of Castille and Ava de Riborgaza.
It has five children:
- Cristina, wife of Ordoño of Leon († 1020), wire of the king Ramire III of León and Sancha;
- Alphonse V of León, its successor;
- Thérès († 1039), wife of Almanzor, chamberlain of Cordoue, in 995;
- Peeling;
- Sancie (nun).
It cannot resist the Moors, come to invade its States under the control of Almanzor and which destroy Saint-Jacob de Compostelle in 997; but having joined together its armies with those of the kings of Navarre and Castille, it pushes back the invader and contributes to the victory of Calatañazor in 998.
