Berklee College off Music
Berklee College off Music is a American music school . This establishment of Boston at the reputation to be most prestigious and the best modern music school of the United States and the world. With a manpower of approximately 3800 pupils and 460 professors, it is more the university of private music of the United States. Berklee currently comprises 26% foreign students.
Berklee was rested by Lawrence Berk in 1945 and was called initially " Schillinger House off Music". Lawrence Berk off changed then the name of the school into Berklee School Music in homage to his/her son Lee Berk in 1954. In 1973, Berklee accepted its accreditation and off became officially Berklee College Music . The current president of Berklee is Roger H. Brown (since 2004). Today Berklee counts 13 buildings with Boston.
When Berklee was founded, the College met a need because there did not exist so to speak any modern music school. Today, and especially since the installation of a major news " Music Business/Management" with the course close to best the American Businesses schools, Berklee tries to redefine its role in order to adapt to an music industry in perpetual evolution.
