Beresford is a city of the county of Gloucester in the north of the New Brunswick to the Canada. The city counted 4.414 inhabitants in 2001.

Description

The town of Beresford is suburbs of Bathurst. It had a population of 4.414 inhabitants in 2001, compared to 4.720 in 1996, that is to say a fall of 6,5%. The city has a surface of 19,08 km ² and a density of 231,4 inhabitants to the km ². More than 80% of its population is of origin Acadie.

Administration

The Maire is Raoul Charest and the city council men are Alfred Albert, Donald Arsenau, Mona Boudreau, Robert Degrace and Paul Losier.

Since 1981, the city shares its police services with the villages of Nigadoo and Small-Rock and Point-Green, within the framework of regional police force BNP.
