Beren Erchamion
Beren (“courageous” in Sindarin) Erchamion (“penguin”) is a character of the work of J.R.R. Tolkien which appears in Silmarillion .
Human of the House of Bëor, he is the son of Barahir and a large hero of the First Age. With the assistance of the Elf S Lúthien Tinúviel and Finrod Felagund, it stole a Silmaril to Morgoth to obtain the right to marry Lúthien but was mortally wounded. However, thanks to the intercession of this one, it was authorized to return to the life (single case among the mortals).
From its marriage with Lúthien was born Dior.
