Berçot studio

The Studio Berçot is a French school of Stylisme siutée with Paris.

History

In 1955, Suzanne Berçot, which is at the same time painter and illustrator of mode, decides to create a Studio which will bear its name. In the Seventies, it is Marie Rucki, a former student of the Studio Berçot which will take again the direction and will teach there the system of the creation of mode. Today the Studio Berçot is classified among largest schools of stylism. This Notoriété is not due, as one could it believe, with the Publicité, the living rooms or other open doors that the Studio does not wish to make, but with excellent the Formation and preparation with the trade of Styliste.

Studies

to be allowed in this school, it is initially necessary to have more than eighteen years, to have the baccalaureat. The pupils are selected on Dossier and maintains. To integrate the Studio is to have a real motivation, to be impassioned.
the duration of the studies is two years: the first year is devoted to the bases of the trade of Styliste, the second year relates to more the processions and the collections, how to prepare them, the developments… Enfin a third optional year ago, which is one year of Stage in company that the Studio organizes.
During this Formation, the pupils will have the occasion to learn, the Dessin: traditional Drawing, with the Drawing of mode while passing by the Serigraphy. Things more general like the History of art, the Costume. The Seam with the owners, the cuts, the prototype realization of . Finally they will study all that turns around the mode like the tendencies, the matters, the color, the volumes and the proportions. The pupils will learn all these things by making 24 to 30 Heures per week during two years.
This Studio is private and consequently it is paying: 8000 € the year, except the third which is free.

This school of Stylisme also is very well equipped (8 sewing machines (for 200 pupils), 4 knitting looms, 10 data-processing stations) all this equipment makes it possible the pupils to express to them Style in all Liberté.
