Bentley Knell

Hiram Bentley Glass (January 17th, 1906 - January 16th, 2005) was an American geneticist and a remarkable chronicler. Born in China from parents missionnaires.
The writings of Doctor Glass were bequeathed and are consultable with the American Philosophical Society.

University course and Titles

It made its secondary studies at the university of Baylor in Texas. It continued then its education at the University of Texas, where it accepted its Doctorate of Philosophy, under the direction of the geneticist Hermann Joseph Muller. Its first important university station was at the university Johns Hopkins, whereas he was also regular chronicler for the daily newspaper “Baltimore Evening Sun”.

In 1965, Glass became vice-president and professor of biology at the University of state of New York de Stony Brook.

During its scientific long career, it accepted many university titles of distinction, among which:
