Biography

After having obtained a license of history, it begins its career in 1991 like parliamentary Assistant from the deputy PS of the the Gironde Pierre Brana. Young person rocardien he becomes the first president of a Mouvement of the young Socialists which becomes with him autonomous under the articles Socialist party in 1993 (Congress of Avignon), whereas Michel Rocard is the first secretary, it becomes adviser for Youth near Lionel Jospin, first secretary of the PS of 1995 to 1997. He enters then to the cabinet of Martine Aubry, minister for Employment and Solidarity, like adviser technical in charge of the employment of the young people (1997-98), then like advising in charge of the political matters (1998-2000). He was director of the strategic planning of the institute of survey IPSOS of 2001 to 2004.

Member of the Socialist party since 1987 after the demonstrations high-school girls against the law Devaquet, he is founder of the Mouvement of the young Socialists and chair 1993 1995, then becomes member of the national office of the Socialist party, organizer of Nouvelle Left and cofounder and spokesperson of the current Nouveau Socialist party (NPS).

It is elected City council man Brétigny-sur-Orge (the Essonne) in 2001 then European Député in June 2004.
