Benjamin Latrobe
Benjamin Latrobe (1764 - 1820) was a Architecte British emigrant with the the United States in 1795. It built in neo-classic style . He was the pupil of John Smeaton.
Architectural achievements
- Capitole of Richmond in Virginia, with Thomas Jefferson
- Seat of the bank of Pennsylvania ( Bank off Pennsylvania ) to Philadelphia (1799-1801) which imitates an ionic temple
- Cathédrale of Baltimore (1804-1818), inspired by the church Holy-Genevieve of Paris
- Système of channels, pumping station and of water conveyance for the town of Philadelphia.
