Benjamin Jekhowsky
Benjamin Jekhowsky (ВениаминПавловичЖеховский) (1881 - after 1953) was a Astronome Franco-Russian, born with Warsaw (at the time, the Poland belonged to the Russian empire).
After 1934, it started to sign its scientific articles under the name Benjamin de Jekhowsky . The Minor Planet Center recorded its discoveries under the name " B. Jekhovsky " (with a v ).
After having studied with the University of Moscow, he worked with the Observatoire of Paris starting from 1912. Later, he worked with the Observatoire of Algiers, where he became known as specialist in Celestial mechanics.
He discovered several Astéroïde S and the asteroid (1606) Jekhovsky bears its name.
