Benetússer

Benetússer (Valencian official name in /Catalan; Benetúser in Castillan) is a municipality of the Province of Valence (Valencian Communauté, Spain) located in the Comarque of the Huerta On.

Geography

Localities bordering

The municipal territory of Benetússer is close to only two communes, Alfafar and Paiporta, although it has relations of vicinities privileged with other municipalities like Massanassa or Sedaví, or the Valencian district of Torre of Valence, to which the urban centres are closer than that to Paiporta.

Demography

The locality, primarily rural at the beginning of the XXe century knew a demographic strong growth in the Années 1960 and 1970, moment of the development of the industry of the piece of furniture in the comarque one, especially in Benetússer, which gathered approximately one the third of the industrial employment of the aforesaid the comarque one.
