Benedict Kiely
Benedict Kiely (born the August 15th 1919 and dead the February 9th 2007 with Dublin), was a writer Irish.
Born the August 15th 1919 in Northern Ireland in a catholic medium, tried a time by the priesthood, it is directed finally towards the literary Journalisme and the writing.
He was the editor association of the literary supplement of the Irish Times .
During the Years 1950, several works of Kiely were prohibited in Northern Ireland by the British authority because they were judged " indecent or obscènes".
In 1996 it was promoted with the rank of saoi ( wise in Irish by the Aosdána).
