Benedetto Castelli (born in 1577 with Brescia in Lombardy - died the April 9th 1643 with Rome) was a Mathématicien Italy N.
Biography
August 1st Benedetto Castelli was disciple of Galileo, professed mathematics with Pisa, then in Rome, and formed Evangelista Torricelli and Bonaventura Cavalieri. It dealt especially with the Hydraulique, and composed a Traité measurement of the running water , Rome, 1628; transl. in 1664.
