Bench of Rutherford

The “bench” of Rutherford, in English Rutherford bench , indicates the wine-growing zone in the central part of the valley of the Napa. This zone, of less than 15 km ² account some of the most prestigious vintages of California, and for several of world reputation.

Site and characteristic of the vineyards

The zones of vines are on the slopes at the western south of the US 29 St Helena Highway , at an altitude ranging between 140 and 260 Mr. Among the factors determining of quality one retains in general:
