Ben Kweller

Ben Kweller (born the 16 June 1981) is a Rock American er . Kweller is also the former leader and singer of a group of the Nineties, Radish.

Biography

Ben Kweller was before the leader of Radish, a group compared with Nirvana by Rolling Stone Magazine. The group, formed in 1993, quickly became popular among the music scene of Dallas. It was however victim of the critics regarding it as an imitation of Nirvana in spite of the innovative presence of sound very young leader, guitarist-singer (Kweller was only adolescent lasting the whole existence of the group). Nevertheless, Kweller and its two accomplices, the bass player Bryan Blur and the beater John Kent, signed on a major, Mercury Records, in 1995. In spite of its very fast accession, which resembles that of Conan O' Brien and David Letterman, Radish succeeded in reaching success neither with its first disc Dizzy nor with its second album Restraining Bolt .

Kweller began its career solo with its album Sha Sha which includes/understands individual popular and radiophonic the Wasted & Ready . This milked song of its old career with Radish and the difficulties of finding an identity as 20 year old an artist beginning a musical career. The disc preserves many influences of Nirvana but also of other pop groups such as Weezer and Ben Folds. The album became popular thanks to its Internet site and with a group of promotion, called TeamBK, making him a publicity by the word of mount.

In 2003, Kweller turned in Australia with Ben Folds and Ben Lee as a The Bens. The trio produced a EP éponyme. The second album solo of Kweller left in 2004 One My Way , reached modest but received the well popularity of Sha Sha while creating, nevertheless a more mature and calmer sound. Kweller currently works on a new album which will be produced by Gil Norton, which produced prestigious albums like " Doolittle" Pixies and " The Colour and the Shape" of Foo Fighters.
