Ben-Hur: Tale off the Christ has is a novel of Lewis Wallace published in 1880, reporting the history of a prince fictitious Juif, Judah Ben-Hur.
History
Year 15. Judah Ben-Hur, young heir to one of the more big families of the Jewish aristocracy, is shown to have wanted assassinated the procurator of Judaea, Valerius Gratus.His/her mother and her sister are thrown in prison, its goods are confiscated and it is sent to the galères. There, it meets a Romain, who allows him to become Roman citizen.
Agitated by the appearance of the Messiah, the Jewish people make him forget his desire of revenge.
Ben-Hur becomes one of the first Christians.
