Bello

Bello is a city Colombia which is not located at the north of the valley of Aburrá and which limits to the south with the town of Medellin (Colombia). Colombian cities which are not capital secondary roads, Bello is populated (roughly 400.000 inhabitants). The climate is hot and is seen refreshed by the winds which are channeled along the valleys and blow all the year. Chief town municipal is dominated by Cerro or Quitasol (translated by “which removes the sun”), the largest mountain of the valley of Aburrá.
History
In 1574, Don Gaspar de Rodas overcomes the natives of the Cacique Niquía, the inhabitants of this territory, he requested these grounds to raise cattle and to found inns. This solicitude was approved by the Spanish crown and thus was born the name from Hatos de Rodas (cattle of Ground). Years afterwards, it started to be called Hatoviejo (Old Herds). In 1883, one re-elected it in homage to the eminent academic Venezuelan gift Andrés Bello.

Includes the quariers of: Barrio Nuevo, Cabaña, Cabañita, Madera, Gran Avenida, San Jose Obrero, Santa Anna, Salento, Florida, Guayacanes of Cabaña. Note: Urbanizations of: los Búcaros, Serramonte there Palmar de Serramonte, belong to the territory of the district of St-Anna.
