History
Bellini was created in Harry' S Bar of Venice and became the emblematic drink of the place. Let us recall that Harry' S, founded in 1931, became as of its opening the appointment of all the men of taste and is known to have been one of the favorite stopovers of Hemingway. It is in Giuseppe Cipriani, the owner of the bar, which one owes the creation of Bellini. Mix nectar of White peaches and of prosecco (the Italian champagne), the cocktail was designed in 1948, and owes its name to the Venetian painter Giovanni Bellini (and not with the sicilian type-setter of the 19th century Vincenzo Bellini, as it sometimes is believed).
