Public transport is rather rare, there exists bus of school transport to connect the establishment of Thonon the Baths and Annemasse. In period of school holidays of Christmas and February, a shuttle is placed at the disposal to circulate on the various poles of the commune (chief town, Chevrerie, Hirmentaz).

History

In 1136,3 monks Benedictines came to settle in the valley of Bellevaux. It is them which gave to the place the Latin name of Bella Vallis , which means beautiful valley . The name derived thereafter in Bellevaux .
In 1138, the Chartreux settled in a deserted part of the valley where they founded a Chartreuse: the chartreuse one of Small valley.
