Bellegarde-of-Razès the (in Languedocien Occitan Bèlagarda de Rasés ) is a common French, located in the department of the Aude and the area Languedoc-Roussillon.

Geography

Village located in the country of the Razès on the Penny. On the territory of the commune mainly planted in Vigne one produces a Vin AOC of name Malepère.

This village is one of the “Circulade S”, village in the circular plan where the inhabitants had worked out a self-defense by laying out their houses of this way.

Administrative

History

In September 2004: fault of having a suitable room for the distribution of the meals, the parents of the children who attend the school express by serving the meals in the street. The regional newspapers (the Dispatch of the South and Independent the) are made the echo of it.

In June 2006 two houses crumble, third contiguous with the two first is threatened of collapse and will have to be demolished. The causes of these collapses are not clearly given: one can suppose that it is the result of several causes: these old houses built with stones of poor quality suffered from a progressive depression of the argillaceous basements because of the drynesses during these last years (2003, 2006) worsened by the vibrations of the building site of installation of mains drainage during the year 2005.
