First steps
Six of the seven Gods divided the human people: Belar, Nedra, Mara, Torak, Chaldan and Issa. Aldur, preferred to him to remain alone, to meditate. During its reflections, it finds then studies and works a stone, the Sphere, which holds a phenomenal capacity. Torak, jealous, steals the jewel to him, which starts a war of the Gods, all being rejoined in Aldur. Bending the stone under its will, Torak splits the world to put its people at the shelter, but the stone revolts of what one makes him do and burns to him the sinistral side (left).
Later, Belgarath, the first disciple of Aldur, leaves in company of Cherek, the king of Aloriens (people of Belar) and his three sons (Rivetted, Algar and Dras) to recover the Sphere, which is entrusted to the guard of Rivetted. Cherek divides its kingdom into four shares, for better protecting the stone.
Still later, the line of Rivetted is almost destroyed by a wave of assassinations, but a child survives, protected by Polgara, girl of Belgarath. She will protect the line during 1300 years and the Sphere will remain with the guard of the population of the island of Rivetted.
