Belantis Vergnügungspark

Belantis is a Amusement park located at Zwenkau, in the south of Leipzig, in Germany.

History

After 19 month of work on an old ground of coal exploitation, the April 5th 2003, Belantis is opened with the public. The first year, 500.000 visitors were accommodated. This success was foreseeable because the establishment of the park was studied in a sector (Germany) where competition is less present.

The following years, the frequentation of the park continued to increase at the same time as the number of attractions.

The name " Belantis " is a Mot-valise created association of the words " Belle" and " Atlantis".
