Beire Châtel holds its origin of: Beire which into Gallic meant forest Châtel by the castle built by the family De Boissieu originating in the surroundings of Pontivy in Brittany which went owner of the quasi totality of the commune. There exists a history of Beire written by an abbot beginning of the 20th century
