Beavers of Sherbrooke

The Castors of Sherbrooke is the name carried by two franknesses different at two times different in the Ligue from hockey major junior from Quebec. The two franknesses were based with Sherbrooke, with the Quebec.

The first frankness

The first Castors of Sherbrooke existed of 1969, first season of the LHJMQ, with 1982, year when they join, Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu to become the Castors of Midsummer's Day. Seven seasons later, the frankness is famous Lynx of Midsummer's Day then in 1995, it moves with Rimouski and becomes the Océanic de Rimouski, frankness evolving/moving in 2007 in the LHJMQ.

The team twice gains the Coupe of the President in 1975 then in 1977 and finally third once in 1982. Thus, three recoveries the team reaches the Coupe Memorial but at the time of the first two editions, she does not arrive at the finale. In 1982, the final is reached but the Rangers de Kitchener carry it.

Names of the frankness

The second frankness

The second edition of the team began her activities as a frankness in 1969 also but under the name of Ducs from Three-Rivers. Twenty-three years later, the frankness which names then Draveurs of Three-Rivers moves in Sherbrooke and becomes the Falcons of Sherbrooke for six seasons then the name of the Beavers returns in 1998. The team will never manage to gain the Cut of the President and is moved with Lewiston in the Maine in 2003. The team becomes then the MAINEiacs de Lewiston, name still in force in 2007.
